Why I would start my insurance business(Part I)?

June 11th, 2013 1:31 PM by Eric Fang

This is a long story.

More than 10 years ago, when both my wife and I were
laidoff by kana software in 2011, I planned to find
a way to start my own business. I did a little of
preparation. In 2002, I completed all my training with
farmers insurance and got my life insurance the same year.
But at the same year, I met a part time loan broker at
reasonate(who was a consultant at the company), and she
advised me to be a mortgage originator. So I started my
career as a loan originators,  and I became one
of the top 1% loan originators in the state of california
for the past 5 years.

During the last 10 years as loan agent, my clients always
asked me to recommend good insurance agents to them.  I
know some of the agents were pretty good. Others were not.

From my own insurance, my agent always replied my emails
two or three days later, though I was much busier
than him, and I gave him a lot of my business, from auto,
home, life and umbrella. But I did not get the service
as I expected.

At the meantime, some clients continuously asked me to
recommend good agents. And now I can myself to them since
I know myself the best.

Please wait for the next blog about what's my opinion
about the business and what I will do. And I will move
the related blogs over when my insurance website is ready.
